These beaches encompass the Tampa Bay Gulf Beaches and offer quantities of quality sand; accommodations ranging from beach cottages to ultra deluxe resorts; a variety of casual & fine dining restaurants; shopping opportunities galore; and proximity to major Florida Tourist Attractions.

The Beach Trolley

In addition to driving and parking, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) maintains the Suncoast Beach Trolley running from Clearwater Beach to Pass A Grille.

This guide provides information to assist tourists and residents alike in finding public beach access with public parking, available in almost all of the communities on the Tampa Bay Gulf Beaches.

Public Beach Access & Parking is presented from the North to the South.
A Note about the Mile Markers:

Gulf Boulevard Mile Markers on Tampa Bay Gulf BeachesLook for the distinctive tropical fish-designed Mile Markers and ½ Mile Markers installed on Gulf Blvd. Mandalay, Gulfview - the main roads that run parallel to the beaches.

The Mile Markers start at the South end of Pass A Grille (the Southern tip of St .Pete Beach) with Mile Marker Zero and proceed North along Pass A Grille Way, Gulf Blvd., Blind Pass Rd, over the Blind Pass Bridge, continuing North on Gulf Blvd, - going through Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, The Redington's, Indian Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, Belleair Shores, Belleair Bluffs, Sand Key and across the Clearwater Pass Bridge to Clearwater Beach.

A left turn at the bottom of the bridge on to South Gulfview Blvd, passing thru the newly redeveloped Beach Walk area. Left to enter the "round about" continue North on Mandalay in Clearwater Beach for about 2 miles where Mile Marker 25 marks the end of the Mile Markers.

NOTE: The beach access are presented below going from North to South (Mile Marker 25) in Clearwater Beach South to the Pass a Grille area of St. Pete Beach. (To Mile Marker 0)
[NOTE: Many of the communities on the Gulf Beaches do not allow on-street parking, or restrict parking on the street and in Gulf front parking lots, to those with resident stickers. The beach access and nearby parking locations included below do allow PUBLIC Parking - some free, some  collect a fee via meters, a pay station, or attended collection booths - Pay parking options will be noted with "$$" ]

There are several public beach access points on Eldorado Ave, one block west of Mandalay. There is VERY LIMITED on street parking within a block or two of a beach access.

• 400 E. Shore Dr.
• 390 and E. Shore Dr.

Sand Key Park is a Pinellas County park located at South side of the Clearwater Pass which separates Clearwater Beach to the North from Sand Key and the other Gulf Beaches to the South.

Both a beach and a park are included in the ninety-file acres. In the park proper are picnic shelters with grills, picnic tables, and water fountains; plus a playground, restrooms and a dog park.

The beach area boasts cabana rentals, beach wheel-chairs, outdoor shower towers to rinse beach sand off, and bath houses with separate changing stalls and restrooms.

Starting South of John's Pass, the City of Treasure Island boasts some of the widest beaches in Tampa Bay Gulf Beaches area.

A paved beach walkway runs along the beach from 119th Avenue to 104th Avenue.

Sunset Beach Parking & Gulf Beach Access
Sunset Beach is the Southern area of Treasure Island, South of 98th Street where Gulf Boulevard turns East to span Blind Pass.

The road closest to the beach in Sunset Beach is named West Gulf Blvd. There are several public parking lots available adjacent to the Gulf beaches.

After Crossing the Blind Pass Bridge and continuing South on Blind Pass Road, follow a 2 block "jog right" at 75th Avenue to continue South on Gulf Blvd.

The first public parking and Gulf Beach access can be found by turning West at 71st Ave and continuing to Beach Plaza St.

Continuing South on Gulf Blvd. at 35th Avenue (at the Don Cesar), leads into the area of St. Pete Beach known as Pass A Grille. Gulf Boulevard become Pass A Grille Way after 32nd Avenue

To find public parking and beach access continue South on Pass A Grille Way and turn West on 22nd Avenue.
