Class of 1960 - 40th Reunion
August, 2000
The 40th year Reunion for 1960 graduates of J. W. Sexton High School, held in August of 2000, provided an opportunity for returning Alumni to tour the high school.

The tour organized & lead by Doug Herner, classmate and retired Sexton teacher and coach, allowed visitors to see how little the school had changed over the last 40 years!

I was amazed as some folks remembered their locker locations, their homerooms, and their laboratory mates! I found my memory was not quite that good. Here are some pictures taken on the school tour.

My camera battery went dead just before the Saturday reunion, so I have no actual reunion pictures to share.

About 120 of your classmates made it to the reunion, with another 50 guests in attendance.

60th Birthday Celebration
June 1, 2003
The tradition of 60 Years of Excellence was commemorated at a 60th Birthday Celebration for J. W. Sexton High School in June, 2003.

Various political, civic, and education speakers - many of them Sexton Alumni - spoke of Sexton's history and future.

The audience of Alumni, Students and friends also enjoyed music from the Sexton Gospel Choir and a presentation from the Sexton Children's Theatre.

Pamela Richman Tripp (class of '60), has provided some pictures taken at this memorable J. W. Sexton High School 60th Birthday Celebration.
