Captains Quarters Resort, with FREE boat report
Offshore reefs are holding big Spanish mackerels, large numbers of grouper and sharks. Every close in offshore trip has produced... we are catching or hooking up on virtually every bait dropped... granted almost every grouper is just under size but with the fast action an a occasional trophy for the cooler combined with economical 2 to 8 mile run makes sense. These charters can be a great picture and video opportunity with very little planning. Which is good thing due to this fickle weather this time of year. Inshore, right now, big redfish are schooling getting ready for the Oct. spawn. Fresh cut bait is the fastest bite producer. Trout are everywhere the biggest can be caught on live grass grunts and pin fish under a small float.
